About the Client
A Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) interior furniture brand based in Surabaya.
About the Role
As the Head/VP of Commerce, you’ll lead strategic initiatives, optimize the online-to-offline (O2O) environment, and drive sales. With a focus on revenue analysis and product development, you’ll collaborate with the Online Commerce Manager and implement SOPs. This role requires a seasoned professional commerce (brand, marketing, and commercial) experience, strong leadership, and adaptability to a dynamic work culture.
Job Description
- Lead the Commerce division, working closely with the Online Commerce Manager and overseeing offline operations.
- Lead high-level strategic initiatives in consumer brands, with a focus on interior products, furniture, or retail sectors.
- Navigate and optimize the online-to-offline (O2O) environment.
- Oversee marketing strategies and campaigns, ensuring optimal execution and identify areas for improvement in marketing campaigns.
- Drive both online and offline sales strategies, including expanding the brand’s presence through showrooms and expos outside Surabaya.
- Conduct revenue performance analysis to drive business decisions.
- Lead product development initiatives and draw inspiration from the brand’s identity to launch new products.
- Develop and implement SOPs for the Commerce team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in high-level strategic and management positions in consumer brands, preferably interior, retail, D2C, or B2C.
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, STEM, or related field.
- Proven track record in building and leading successful sales teams from zero.
- Familiarity with the O+O environment, with a focus on online operations.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills. Must have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work culture.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset.
- Previous experience in a startup, ideally in a Head/VP/Senior Manager of Commercial Manager role.
- Ability to thrive in a VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) environment.
- Willing to WFO in Surabaya and open to frequent commuting to Jakarta.
