DESKRIPSI LOWONGAN KERJA
We are looking for a Garment Technician to join our Bali Office. This role will work closely with our Design and Production teams and report to our Development & Technical Manager.
Working collaboratively with our Design, Development and Production teams, you will assist in the planning and management of sampling and pre-production processes, ensuring that deadlines are met for sampling/production deliveries.
Together with the Development & Technical Manager, you will be our main contact for garment specifications, manage fit sessions providing insight into correct sizing and sampling, ensure the correct sizing/technical specifications are handed over to production.
An eye for fashion and trends, technical problem-solving, and strong planning and organisational skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain tech packs, specification and grading sheets
- Ensure fit samples are measured prior to fitting sessions
- Lead all sample fit sessions, ensuring any pattern / design changes are accurately recorded and applied to bulk production
- Analyse and check garment construction, measuring and fitting all samples, from SMS fit to PP stage, ensuring make and measurements meet spec / construction requirements
- Ensure comments & fit notes are recorded in the technical pack with images highlighting the issues for factory’s visual reference / ease of understanding
- At pre-productions approval stage, ensure any changes to technical pack have been updated and included. Ensuring construction, notes and graded specification charts are all accurately updated and issued back to the factory
- Ensure garment fitting and construction techniques meet company standards
- Ensure key dates set on the critical path for fit / pp approval comments are followed to ensure the factory can commence bulk production by the due date
- Provide ongoing support to the production / QC team when issues & queries arise relating to construction / fit / specs / quality issues. Workshop ways to resolve the issues in to meet Product Delivery Schedule
- Assist with top production sample approval process and provide approval feedback or corrective action reports to suppliers
- Work closely with internal sample room and pattern makers to ensure changes are correctly followed and applied
- Assist with fabric testing, instructions and labelling
- Mentor and support Junior Garment Technician
General:
- 3 years+ experience in a similar role within Fashion
- Tertiary education in Design, Pattern making and Grading
- Strong industry leading software and technology skills (e.g. Excel, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and the Adobe Creative Suite)
- Experience in Pattern making, and Grading
- Tech pack and garment spec knowledge
- Experience working across a variety of categories
- Knowledge and experience in fabric testing, textile properties and quality assurance
- Strong communication skills in both Bahasa and English
- Strong organisational skills to adhere to critical path deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment by being flexible and adaptable
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate easily
- Enthusiastic, self-disciplined, and pro-active
