Responsibility:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, pricing, and potential suppliers in the coal industry.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with coal suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Build and maintain relationships with coal suppliers, ensuring quality, timely deliveries, and adherence to contract terms.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with coal procurement, such as market fluctuations and supply chain disruptions.
- Stay updated on regulations related to coal procurement and ensure adherence to environmental and legal standards.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement in the coal procurement process.
- Work closely with internal teams, including logistics, finance, and operations, to streamline the procurement process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in coal procurement or a similar role within the energy industry.
- In-depth understanding of the coal market, including pricing trends, quality specifications, and regulatory landscape.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to secure favorable agreements with suppliers.
- Proficient in data analysis and market research to make informed procurement decisions.
- Ability to assess and manage risks associated with coal procurement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in the procurement process.
