Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize occupancy rates for the convention centre.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking opportunities to expand the client base. Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities. Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the convention centre and establish connections with potential clients.
- Customized Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the unique features and benefits of our facilities and services. Tailor proposals to meet the specific needs and objectives of each client.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring profitability while meeting their budgetary constraints and event requirements. Coordinate contract revisions and finalize agreements in a timely manner.
- Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities for business growth and development.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including client interactions, proposals, contracts, and revenue forecasts. Generate regular sales reports and performance metrics to evaluate progress towards goals and identify areas for improvement.
- Operations & Pre-opening: Work closely with the design team & project team to ensure successful pre-opening of the convention centre. After pre-opening, lead the operations, sales and event teams to ensure seamless execution of events and profitability of the convention centre.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Proven track record in regional MICE sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets within the MICE or hospitality industry.
- Deep understanding of the Indonesian MICE industry, including knowledge of key players, industry trends, and best practices.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Critical thinker with a strategic mind in planning and sourcing for partners to host mid-scale entertainment events (e.g. car shows, concerts, location-based entertainment).
- Good contacts with regional events management companies, destination management companies, wedding planners, MNC are critical to the success of this role.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experienced in convention centre pre-opening and operations (Banquets & events operation background will be a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (if applicable).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
